Tuna Macaroni Casserole

Featured Recipe...

This is a recipe that my mom used to make at least once a week when my 4 sisters and I were growing up. I love it and make it for my kids as well.

Tuna Macaroni Casserole

1 can Tuna (drained)
1 box mac-n-cheese, cooked as directed (or 2 cups of homemade)
1 can peas (optional)

Mix together.  You can spoon it into a 9x13 pan and top it with shredded cheese and broil in oven for a couple of minutes to brown the top and serve.  Or you can serve it from the pot you mixed it in and not dirty another dish.  My mom always added a can of peas at the end, but you can serve them on the side as well. Makes as much or as little as you need and is great with some crusty bread.

  1. Wow, memories! My mom made this a ton, especially during Lent.
Such a good, easy recipe. I hadn't thought about it in forever. Thanks!

  2. My mother made this for myself and my brother as well with a couple small adjustments. First she would add a can of Cream of Mushroom soup, and then shred cheese into it. Milk to limber it up so that it can boil a moment or two more. I personally also enjoy adding any extra mushrooms or broccoli to mine.

  3. add a table spoon of spice brown mustard and this dish goes Gormet! My family thought is was a totally different recipe
