French Vanilla French Toast

This is actually just a suggestion for a variation on your French toast recipe at  http://www.betterbudgeting.com/frugalrecipes/frenchtoast.htm.

I'm not sure if it counts as frugal because there is one more ingredient, but if you happen to be a coffee drinker anyway, you might have it on hand.

Instead of milk, I substitute one of the flavored coffee creamers. My personal favorite is French Vanilla. Also, if you have a lactose intolerant child, many coffee creamers don't have any milk in them. The Nestle Coffee-mate "French Vanilla" has less than 2% of sodium caseinate (a milk derivative). It says on the bottle - Lactose Free, Gluten Free, 0g Trans Fat/Serv.

Even if you don't use the recipe, you should give them a try. They are absolutely delicious and you don't need any other spices. I thought of it myself, so I doubt many people know just how great an idea this is.
